Megan Brown, Head Coach

Megan played volleyball at the University of Marshall, WV for 1 season, then finished her college career at Concordia St Paul in MN, where she was a 2-year captain winning 3 National Championships (2009-2011 seasons), 3x All-American (2009-2011 seasons), 2011 Daktronics Central Region Player of the Year, 2011 NSIC Player of the Year, 3x NCAA All-tournament team and 2011-2012 CSP Women Athlete of the Year. After college, Megan played professionally in Copenhagen, Denmark for a year. After her playing career concluded, she was an assistant coach at UNCG in North Carolina for a year before moving back to MN to coach locally.
Jack Boland, Assistant Coach
Jack is in his 2nd year coaching with Westonka. He started playing volleyball in 5th grade and has been playing ever since. He played at the Varsity level all 4 years in high school, on top of playing Club volleyball in both high school and college. He
also served as a student manager for the U of M Women’s Volleyball Team! Outside of volleyball, Jack enjoys teaching Kindergarten at Shirley Hills and spending time with his friends in the outdoors!
Brooke Berger, JV Coach
Brooke is entering her 3rd season coaching our JV team. She is a passionate PE teacher and coach in the Westonka school district. She has over nine years of coaching experience, within high school and youth volleyball and basketball programs. Other volleyball teams she’s coached include girls C-squad, 8th grade, and 5th grade. In high school, she played four years of varsity volleyball for the Whitehawks earning All-Conference Honorable Mention in two seasons. In college, she was a basketball student athlete at Division 2 Northern State University, while earning her Bachelor of Science in Education. Additionally, she recently received her Masters degree in coaching at the University of Central Missouri! As a coach, her
main focus is on skill development, enjoyment, and teamwork skills. All teams Brooke coaches are expected to play hard, communicate, and display sportsmanship.
